English Essay
The Persona felt sick and tired. The use of metaphor in "last dear fuel of life" suggests that the teacher had very little energy and strength left, which he has no intention of wasting it on his students. He also used another metaphor, "pack of unruly hounds" to emphasize that his students were rowdy and refuse to listen to their teacher, in this case the persona himself. Here, the persona is angry with his students behaviour and described them as unruly. He used diction for the word scrawl, as he was angry with the students handwriting and probably described it as scrawl. He used Pun for "Quarry", as well as for "sick" and "will". Quarry can mean prey, or it can mean knowledge. This suggests that the teacher has taken the role of the predator while the students were the prey. Quarry refers to a vast amount of knowledge. Sick can mean disgusted or it could mean physically ill. this suggest that the teacher is angry and disgusted with the bad work the students provided. Will can mean going to do somthing, or it can also mean determination. This shows that the teacher or the persona is angry.
